In this course, I will walk you through all the scales in the ABRSM Grade 6 exam. These videos are designed not just for listening, but for students to practice along. The course consists of: a slow tempo version for practice, a demonstration at the exam-required tempo, and additional key points that help students to practice. The music sheet is shown spontaneously in every video. By practicing along the videos, students improve the tonality of their playing and identify immediately any notes that are out of tune. Course Curriculum
Max Chan
Max is the creator behind 'Violinnovate', an online platform that focuses on creating effective distant learning materials for violin learners around the world.
Max started playing the violin at the age of 6 where he studied music under the tutelage of Chinese Violin Educator Professor LU NI CHEN, and subsequently Russian Soloist Professor Gleb Dontsov, and has received private tuition at the renowned Eastman School of Music during his undergraduate years in America. His latest solo performance can be found on his YouTube channel, in which he performed 'Czardas' at the University of Edinburgh.
Max has more than 5 years of teaching experience and has held part-time teaching positions in music schools/institutes in Hong Kong, Seattle, and Edinburgh. Some of Max's current students are music scholarship recipients and most have achieved 'Merts' or and 'Distinctions' in their respective grades in the ABRSM exam.
Max currently resides in the UK and is finishing his PhD.
